Job description

Reporting to the Sales Director North and Eastern Europe and working directly with General Manager of EMS Nordic and General Manager EMS Poland as well as in close collaboration with the Finance and Human Resources & Payroll departments in Switzerland and dedicated accounting firms in the territory. The Financial Controller is in charge of all EMS Finance activities of the Nordic and Central-Eastern Europe regions such as overseeing the financial and accounting operations and managing cash flow. Reporting and publishing timely monthly financial statements are part of the Financial Controller’s responsibilities.



- Responsible for setting up all the processes related to Finance & Administration for the region and potentially for taking the full responsibility for this role;
- Reporting to HQ, liaising between EMS Nordic, EMS Poland external partners and HQ-based departments;
- Entrepreneurial spirit, open to fast-moving business environment and aiming at achieving high quality results in terms of building trust with other team members, partnering with business owners and providing financial expertise; 
- Provision of accurate financial analysis to the Management and commercial/operational teams, to support strategic and operational decisions;
- Responsible for the delivery and quality of financial information including management of accounts and management of the budgeting processes, forecasting for P&L as well as profit and loss calculations;
- In collaboration with an accounting firm, coordinating payroll for the region, controlling VAT and reclaiming VAT in several currencies, identifying risks associated to credit notes;
- Import/export/customs, cross-border sales, weekly invoicing;
- Overlooking of travel expense booking and reports with currency complexity;
- Sales controlling using CRM and tracking the direct sales;
- Managing cost efficiencies, e.g. inventory control;
- Treasury management including cash flow modelling, balance sheet and matching with invoices;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislations when it comes to policies and procedures;
- Assisting the General Managers in preparing monthly reporting pack for the Management team.



- 5-8 years of experience, ideally with a few years in European continental environment and a few years in a small structure (to be able to cover the full Finance activities for a SME);
- Hands on attitude and experienced in both Accounting and Finance, with a good potential to grow;
- Good Financial educational background (could be Accounting);
- Strong understanding of Swedish GAAP;
- Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems as well as strong Excel skills;
- Business-level language proficiency in both Swedish and English, Polish would be an advantage;
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
- Confident and autonomous.


Need to travel in Europe: from time to time, up to 20%.
Probation Period: 3 months.
